Community support is a priority for Quebec’s maple syrup producers.
Each year, Quebec’s maple syrup producers join forces with dozens of organizations across Quebec to support their activities. We believe that children, the next generation, are our greatest asset, which is why are longstanding partners with the Breakfast Club and the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation.
Since 2007, we have partnered with the Citadelle Maple Syrup Producers’ Cooperative to support the Breakfast Club by donating thousands of liters of maple syrup. In 2014, we provided 5,808 liters for Quebec children to enjoy at breakfast, and since 2007 we have donated more than $550,000 in maple syrup.
CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation
Since 2005, the FPAQ, in partnership with IGA and Les Sucreries Beauvirage, has raised $200,000 for the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation. For each holiday-themed can sold in November and December, we give $1 to the Foundation.
Supporting Olympic athletes
Olympic athlete Ariane Lavigne has enjoyed the financial support of Quebec’s maple syrup producers since 2013. A member of the Canadian Alpine Snowboard Team, Ariane is the first partner athlete sponsored under the Fueled by NatureTM program developed by Les Produits d’érable du Québec. She competed in the Sotchi Olympic Games in February 2014.
