Death of Mr. Rolland Urbain
On behalf of the FPAQ Board of Directors, employees and all Quebec maple syrup producers, we offer our deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Rolland Urbain, who passed away this week.
Elected as administrator of the Lanaudière Union in 1988, he became its president in 1995. Producer in Sainte-Julienne since 1978, he worked on the establishment of the joint plan, the implementation of the quota system and the realization of the Federation’s strategic reserve. He was involved in all the struggles of the maple producers of the last 25 years.
We pay tribute to one of the major players in the development of Quebec maple production, as we know it today, and an extraordinary maple syrup producer.
Thank you, Mr Urbain!
The family will receive condolences Saturday, April 21 from 14:00, in the church of Saint-Paul l’Ermite (377, village street, Repentigny). The funeral will be held the same day at 15:30.
